Updated: Apr 19

Embrace your true passions and discover the power of your second chakra.

You may have come across the seven chakras. Maybe it was in yoga class or during a meditation course. You might not know exactly what chakras are or how to work productively with them. Chakras are energy centers in the subtle body that distribute the flow of prana or energy throughout your body. Starting at the base of the spine and working up to the crown of your head, chakras influence your emotional and physical health.

Understanding the role and purpose of each chakra is a crucial first step in balancing your chakras and establishing the harmonious flow of energy. All of the seven chakras are interconnected; balancing one chakra will create change in the others. If you are working towards creative goals or needing to restore balance to your emotional health, it would be wise to focus on your sacral chakra in particular.

When we start building our fantasy world with the help of mental and intellectual faculties, understand that second chakra energy is dominated within us.
Mostly in boys, this chakra energy dominant between 7-14 and in girls, the 6-12 period of life.

THE SACRAL CHAKRA

Located in the lower abdomen below the navel, the sacral chakra or swadhisthana is the second in your seven chakras. The Sanskrit name translates to “one’s own dwelling”. The sacral chakra is associated with the emotional body, sensuality, and creativity.

The sacral chakra starts is located below the navel and extends up to the pelvic region. This forms your deepest connections with sensuality and passion. The sacral chakra embodies your relationship to discovery and exploration of your world. This includes emotion, pleasure, connection, and intimacy.

Motivated by pleasure and joy, the sacral chakra is the driving force for your enjoyment of life. When your sacral chakra is balanced, it enables you to feel and experience life to its fullness. As the center of passion, your sacral chakra awakens your power of creation. This allows you to discover what you truly enjoy and create intimate relationships.

The sacral chakra helps cultivate flexibility and adaptability. This empowers you to move on, accept change, and transform. When balanced, the sacral chakra allows you to be passionate, creative, and sensual while connecting with your feelings and emotions.
